PS3 was dead on arrival. I did the reflow and it came back to life. Up until I loaded a PS2 game it went black. Tried a couple PS2 games before and it ran no problem.

I bought a PS3 60 GB backward compatible on ebay that powered up but no display. I did a delid and reflow on CPU and GPU. PS3 booted up fine. Did a game test and all went well. So I then did a factory restore with success. Booted back up fine. Tested a Ps2 game Need for Speed with success...
