what would i have to add for to read the memory pro

i am using a fat ps3 ceche01 with the 4 usb and card reader as u cant use the usb other then for charging as just get failed expliot i have found if use the memory card pro slot it will just freeze has anyone been able to successfully get this method to work with fat ps3 ceche01
