    PS2 Faulty disc drive/controller/fuse on fat PS2?

Hi, thanks for commenting. Sadly, I've already tried this. My console is a 50006 and I bought a faulty 50004 just to get the drive out of it and test it. Sadly, I didn't have any luck with it.

    PS2 Faulty disc drive/controller/fuse on fat PS2?

PS13 is dead, but from what I could find it's just a 5V regulator. Since I can't find SMD fuses right now, I bridged the connections but it didn't make any difference. Idk what else might be happening. Thanks for the help anyways. If someone else has any ideas, please let me know.

    PS2 Faulty disc drive/controller/fuse on fat PS2?

I'm not sure I understood what you wanted me to do, but I disassembled the console and I'm pretty sure the flex cables are properly connected. I've tested two different DVD drives (one from the original unit and one from another 5000X model) and both show the same issue on the same console...

Here's another video showing how it doesn't even spin the disc. The laser beams light at a point, though it's not very visible in the video.

Good for you. I play most of my games though OPL, but I'd still like to have my DVD drive working to play PS1 games.

Thanks for the reply. I hope this video makes the issue more clear: As far as I can tell, there's no sound coming from the disc drive. It's not trying to open at all.

    PS2 Faulty disc drive/controller/fuse on fat PS2?

Hi. For a few years, I've had this problem with my PS2 and I was wondering if somebody can help me to fix it. In 2019 I bought a used SCPH-50006 and since it had some issues reading discs, I decided to clean it up. When I tried to reassemble the disc drive, I didn't align the sled properly, as...

PS4 PSX-FPKG (by Jabu) - A Tool to convert PS1 (PSX) games for use on PS4

But do analog sticks work now? Make sure you don't have vibration disabled in the PS4 System Settings

It is possible to enable Analog + Rumble, it has been made clear earlier in the thread. Remove the line --sim-analog-pad=0x2020 and add --ctlanalog=on.

TOCs are needed in games that rely on RedBook audio for music and/or sfx, since the bin file alone won’t allow for the tracks to be read. I think someone posted a link with a list of all PS1 games that do this earlier in this thread.

    PS3 Best model (reliability wise)

The first PS3 I ever bought was an used CECHA01. Little did I know it had already been repaired. I just used it to play MGS4, since it was the only game I had at the time. A few months later, jailbreak for 4.82 came out (November 2017) and I loaded it with PS1, PS2 and PS3 games. After that, the...

I'm an idiot, I had rumble disabled in the PS4 settings. It obviously works just fine.

Hmm, weird. I've got this settings in config-title.txt for Metal Gear Solid: --region-dir=SIEA --ps4-trophies=0 --ps5-uds=0 --trophies=0 --ctlanalog=on Analog inputs work properly, but I couldn't get rumble to work. Which are your settings?

Has anybody managed to find a command that enables rumble?

I meant it more as that it might help games like these, not fixing things like PAL slowdown. I can't try it since I don't have a lot of games.
