I believe you misread what I said which was the romset you use is irrelivent as long as the core you are using matches the romset. Meaning the core must be for the romset you use. However I have a mix of romsets and match the appropriate core in my playlists.

Edit: I was able to recompile PKG myself, if anyone would like it and its not going to offend the devs I will upload

@Crystal I have tested the gx core with all supported systems, and it now works flawlessly. Is there any way to compile a new installer package with all the recent changes?

@Crystal I too have the same issue with Sega CD, shows that emulator loaded, then just a black screen, it worked for me flawlessly in previous prior to core update. mGBA works, but it will cause your playlists to disappear until you load a different core. Cannot find the root cause.
