    PS3 PS3 CFW & Jailbreaking Basics

The relative ease of switching from cfw to ofw seems to facilitating fixes for potential issues that could be problems. Also, I imagine going back to Ofw, one would want to have a 'clean' system when connecting online to mitigate any potential problems? Thanks for the overview.

    PS3 (Research/Experimental) - NEC/TOKIN Capacitors Replacement - YLOD

Nice supplemental on the noise/frequency/capacitance relationship. It was mentioned that a BC ps3 can't work without all 4 tokins present (I assume this is needed for capacitance). With Samsonay's and Pacorretaco's fix, they only introduced 2 new caps (one on each side of the existing tokins)...

    PS3 (Research/Experimental) - NEC/TOKIN Capacitors Replacement - YLOD

As you've stated in previous posts, you were trying to get the noise down introducing 270uf caps instead of 470uf because you thought the noise factor was an issue; then found the rsx didn't like that combination but the cell did... Was this because of noise... or capacitance of each cap (or...

    PS3 PS3 CFW & Jailbreaking Basics

I have a question regarding upgrading to CFW, and I cant seem to find the answer readily available anywhere in concise form (maybe becasue its not a question of any consequence). The first question I would have in upgrading to custom firmware is what effect it will have on my library of games...

    PS3 (Research/Experimental) - NEC/TOKIN Capacitors Replacement - YLOD

So, could we assume that possibly the 'Peak' output is actually the culprit?... (example) -So lets say the Nec Tokins can transfer what is needed to the rsx /cell at 95% or above efficiency (for lack of a better word) -and work regardless, even if 2 were removed(from each side), but with more...

    PS3 (Research/Experimental) - NEC/TOKIN Capacitors Replacement - YLOD

Hey Sampsonay, great fix and documenting, great idea, and..... i was wondering a few things... Ive been looking over this thread for a few months trying to get a handle on what the issues are regarding the nec tokins... and with you adding the 'aluminum polymer caps' (matching the tokins...
