Thank you for your feedback. There is no modchip and I tried cleaning the laser lens but it didn’t work, I’ll have a professional look at it and see if he can clean it better than I can.

I just got a PlayStation 1 SCPH 1001 from a flea market, it turns on and shows the boot screen, but it gets stuck on Sony Computer Entertainment screen. It is not a bad laser because if it was I would at least be able to navigate the system menu. Does anyone know how to fix this?
