I know Evilnat is working on 4.87.3 with latest cobra. Cobra will have a fan control. How will we change the settings for that ?
Also, will it work while playing ps2 games ?
There must be something different in firmware 4.85 because it works properly with 4.84.
A workaround to this issue is download the PKG/Rom Launcher package separately, put it on the root of a fat32 flash drive and install it via Package Manager...
Both methods works perfecty. Method 1 is easier because no need for conversion but allow only one pkg at a time.
Maybe @aldostools can enhance the feature. My idea is to create subfolders in the PKG folder. The subfolders could contain all the pkg you want to appear at a time in package...
Maybe @deank could make a new version that doesn't need web services or optional / only on demand, to lower the bandwith usage. Covers could be downloaded in a package already I think.
Also the version number could be a simple text file, easy to add the new firmware versions. This way no need to...
@Darklink007 maybe you can try to remove erverything plugged in the usb ports to keep more power for your ps3. Put one game in your internal hdd to test if the ps3 still shuts down.
@Darklink007 maybe you should try sman or webman mod to control the fan speed and see if the games still crash.
Personnally, I prefer to have more noise instead of a broken ps3.
