I had an issue with the HEN, but now i believe it was my USB-drive that made the error. After re-downloading and using another USB-drive, everything works like a charm.
Thank you so much for providing us with this!!
I now upgraded to SSD aswell, and HEN is not installed, reinstalled HFW 4.90.1 about 4 times inbetween installation-attempts from the webpage, went to the page, and tried it about 400 (!) times, different users, with or without USB having the boot_plugins.txt, Timesettings checked, javascript=on...
Thank you, yes i used the function of uninstalling HEN using the tool once it did not freeze on activation. :)
Clean install usually is the best way to go :)
Thanks for reply, and thank you for your efforts making our playstations great again.
However it made a huge difference in stability of my Ps3 so far. Immediately after going from 3.2.1 to the update, i crashed several times both when activating HEN and also when intitializing unofficial...
OK so yet again i updated from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 and alot of problems emerged immediately. It now buggs out like 70 % of times, from previous 4 % of times. Sigh.
How do i revert back to 3.2.1 now?
Edit: I uninstalled and reinstalled HEN completely,
... after this it seems to work great again...
Sry that i got so irritated, i LOVE you for creating this amazing program. But it got so frustrating that i went from a working system 4.89 to this [for me] instable very hard to install version. But I didnt realise the spinning HEN was the USB-ports. Had my diNovo edge dongle attached on far...
This is my problem aswell! HEN bugs on reading USB-ports. When i have keyboard dongle in my USB i need to unplug it first or HEN keeps just spinning forever. ... hmmmm give me some time to check this..
There is another issue with HEN. So I installed Hen and it worked for 2 days. Then one day when i activated HEN it just kept on spinning. Restart -> spinning ->restart ->spinning ->forced check filestructure ->tried enable Hen ->spinning. Had to reinstall HEN and after a couple of tries (5) it...
I had the same problem. Eventually what helped me perhaps? was firstly uninstalling multiman and webmanmod, then i put a USB-drive with text file boot_plugins.txt and boot_plugins.text and plain boot_plugins (text document created by windows) in root of USB, put the USB in my PS3 (right port)...
FINALLY OMG got it. OMG It was a hassle. YEAH. Like 200 tries later. Did use that USB stick with all boot_plugins.text boot_plugins.txt boot_plugins (plain created as text by windows) placed on root, ON the FIRST created user on the PS3 (the other created users did not work), unistalled...
