regarding pyps3checker - theres multiple files and i can't find a download button, so i'm very lost on this

i don't know if this is the place to ask, but if my ps3 is already jailbroken, would updating it to the 4.88 jailbreak work the same as just jailbreaking it again, or would i have to update to official firmware and jailbreak that? apologies if this sounds confusing at all, if anyone needs me to...
