I know I followed the directions on setting it up right I put it on hdd0 in plugins and added the location to boot_plugins.txt. But when entering any of the dualshock shortcuts nothing happens. I tried using vsh prx loader and the PS3 beeps once and reboots and loads webman but still nothing...
Sorry about your dad. :\
Not saying there's not good people there. I just think more technical people come to a site like this. I mean I'm a member of gbatemp, but that's just my observation about it. I try to help people on there, but I rarely receive any help.
Yeah I just figured out recently 3 of my dualshocks that I thought were legit weren't. The way I found out was I tried to install them on my PC with motioninjoy and it wouldn't let me while a 4th one I could install no problem that one was real, then I tried SCPToolkit and it told me they were...
I don't know the reason either but every console/handheld are different. I assume there's some reason or another.
I ditched my PSP because of how good Switch emulation is, but that's a different topic.
ManaGunz loads the configs for you (if the game has one) When you started the game you should have been given an option to load a recommended config.
But I assume you did that because you can't really miss it. So you might want to ask your question in the compatiblity thread...
I figured out I forget to use mbr instead of gpt while formatting. Been awhile since I've needed to format a ps2 hdd. Working fine now.
Yes I was using FAT32 but PS2s require mbr and not gpt. It also explains why multiple hdds weren't working.
I've now tried two external hdds one's a Seagate portable one's the enclosure with a PS3 hdd and a flash drive, none of them can be read by the PS2. I went to ulaunchelf and selected mass and it doesn't show the files. All have been formatted to fat32 I'm not a noob at this I've been using OPL...
I had a 500 gb hdd in an external enclosure that worked fine on opl but I didn't have near that many games so I switched the hdd in the same enclosure to a 160 gb. I copied the files to the computer formatted the new hdd to Fat32 and copied them back. Computer sees everything fine, and so does...
Yeah I unplugged it, still didn't beep. Only what I did turning on power then holding the button down then holding it again until safe mode came on and rebuilding database fixed it. So if someone else has this problem you might recommend this.
So with the added information that holding down the button does nothing (just turns it on) should I worry?
Edit: just figured out if I turn it on first then hold the button it will beep and power off then I can hold it and get all the beeps and go into safe mode. Just recently I was able to do...
When I try to hold the button the system instantly comes on and doesn't beep. Doesn't look like I can get into safe mode anymore. :(
Just a few weeks ago it beeped and I was able to get into safe mode.
Issue or nothing to worry about? It stopped making a sound about 1-2 weeks ago. I don't think I changed any settings (if there is even such a setting) but it's just silent. Still comes on and works fine though so far at least.
