Looks like I spoke too soon... Same issue, if the console tries to reboot it just locks up. I might just put OFW back on it to see if it's the CFW causing issues or if the console itself has a problem

Thanks for the reply! Just changed out the battery. It was a bit of a hassle, had to take out the motherboard to get to it so I changed the thermal compound while I was in there. Put it all back together and (so far) no issues! Thanks again

Final update for now. Managed to install rebuild, just to see if it makes a difference. It doesn't. If the ps3 powers down the only way to get it to come back on is to hold the power button down and wait for the 2nd beep to reset the display options. Then it boots, detects HDMI, switches...

Small update - finally got the PS3 to boot into the xmb, evilnat 4.89 installed. Did nothing else, installed nothing, just pressed the power button to turn off the PS3. Pressed the PS button on the co trolley to turn it back on and..... nothing. No signal screen once again, controller won't...
