I’d say your chip is a clone that can’t be updated , the red line in your settings menu seems to not have the Matrix logo in the middle . I’ve only ever seen that on clones . If it is a clone you are lucky you can still access the settings menu after a failed update with original chip firmware...

Yes it can be done but you have to use POPStarter over SMB , VersatileNinja has a video on his channel Project Phoenix Media , I’m certain there are tutorials on this site as well already that can guide you on the set up .

SCPH-10000 (V0) consoles don’t have many modchips that support it , DMS3 with 2.0 firmware onwards I think work , Modbo doesn’t . I don’t own one of those proto kernel models unfortunately so I couldn’t give much info about it .
