    Any good cooling mods?

    I've removed the IHS plates on my CECHC03, applied thermal grizzly beneath and above the IHS, stock fan and power supply still in place. I've also drilled an array of holes directly beneath the fan, currently playing Black Ops 2 with the fan set to 26% which keeps me anywhere between 58-63C.

    Thanks for the detailed reply, I'm curious how you can see the temperature in PS2 games, or do you check as soon as you exit to XMB?

    Basically I'm wondering if 40% fan speed (recommended my WebMan) is necessary for a fully backwards compatible PS3 running PS2 games or if the inclusion of both PS2 processors instead of the 1 in the European model means less heat generated from the full hardware BC compared to the partial BC...

    The Partial BC PS3 uses the cell in conjunction with the PS2's GPU, this is taxing on the system and to further complicate things you cant see the ps3 temperature within ps2 disk games, to compensate for this WebMan will allow you to have a fan speed preset for PS2 games to stop overheating...
