either the rsx or cell idk which but im pretty sure i ended up messing up its bga when i repasted it, it was stuck down with the thermal paste so had to kinda wiggle the motherboard up chances are i cracked some balls, the no light thing kinda threw me off since sometimes it works just fine and...
i know they can have bga failures and all that but can they get a yellow light? i was splicing toghether a 4pin connector for a 3000 model and after i was done i put it in the console after making sure everything was propperly connected and it turned red in standby so i clicked the power button...
the 3000 im not so worried about since its not even getting 60c its the 2000 that almost pushing 70c i feel like that might be a bit to hot for it, ill prob just crank fanspeeds up since i dont really care about a little extra noise and just forget about it.
wouldnt undervolting it make games...
idk how cold it is but the ac is on the celing fan is on and i have another fan on so its quite cold in here, i left it running for awhile after and it never hit 60c.
if by jailbreak u mean cfw then both the 3000 and super slim are the same are both bad by ur own words, i think even without cfw or hen they are still good systems.
so after about an hour of playing the 3000 got to 58c max and didnt go higher not sure if thats good temps or not but this one was...
i think the 3000 runs cooler ill have to test again but i think the 2000 runs that hot due to not having enough paste on it since i ran out right at the end, ima test the 3000s temps rq and see if they are better.
i have 2 ps3 slims that are working good and i plan to keep one and sell the other but i dont know which one i want to keep, the 2000 model is cfw compatible and the 3000 has ps3 hen, i know the 65nm are alot better than the 90s but i still have the fear of it getting ylod cuz the rsx dies, i...
i bought a couple of ps3s (2 slims 1 phat) and the 2000 wont power on or anything which i assume is the power supply (there was roaches in it) and i noticed the 3000 power supply looks the same and has the same voltage and everything and wanna know if its possible to put it into the 2000 and see...
i repasted mine and played through mgs4 to test if the console worked fine and my temps were about what urs is, it took about 2 months for the ps3 to yold from rsx death.
the max temp of the thermal paste not the console i know it shouldnt dry up that fast which is why i said we either applied it wrong or the surface area is to large for it causing it to dry. i could be wrong on both of these but its what im thinking.
it doesnt seem like the ps3 is getting at its max temp and if it is u got bigger things to worry about maybe its due to how big the surface area is for it to spread or just not spread corectly.
i havent had issues with it until i used it on a ps3 but it also was a new tube so maybe its a cheaper knock off? my 360s still have the paste looking fine so not sure coiuld also just not work well with ps3s.
