You guys wouldn't believe it, it was my wireless controller that made it get stuck in a black screen, as soon as I removed the controller dongle from the console OPL launched, then I can plug it back it and it will work just fine.

Yes, I have wiped out the entire memory card, and then I restart the console with only mc1 plugged in to test it.
