Thanks for the info. Now that I know what to look into I’ll do some research & start getting the tools together.

Do we have any way to check what update a ps4 is on without being able to connect the hdmi. I have a ps4 with a broken hdmi port that I was told hadn’t been updated in awhile. If it’s on an old enough update I’d like to try getting it fixed otherwise I’ll keep using it for parts.

I had somehow missed this problem. I’ve got a lot going on right now but would like to look into this as soon as I have some time.

Welcome to the forums. We have a lot of very knowledgeable people here that will be happy to help you learn. I recommend that all new members read over the site rules just to save you from any trouble, we don't have many rules but it's best to know them.
