    Imo sd2psx/psxmemcardgen2 are superior to mcp2. I have too many issues w my 2 mcp2, but I still need them for signing updates. But if you want webui/wifi backups to g-drive and ftp...them.you need mcp2

    This is why MMCE is awesome. 1 memory card with bootcard for homebrew, "unlimited" cross save compatible grouping... never again need to swap a memory card. Dealing with HDD for Homebrew is just an annoyance

    ^ You need the later 1.90 bootrom from 50k... The parts to make the writeable bootrom above are very easy to find... I realized I uploaded gerbers without BOM...so fixed that.

    You wrote the hdd path incorrect though as BOOT.ELF not hdd0:__boot/boot.elf

    Here also best to use a stiffner... You'll need a BGA48 programmer. This is all courtesy of Tschicki His github directions apply for flashing. He's working on a version that can be reflashed while installed, IIRC its down to 7-10min.

    Sorta. OSDMenu does use rom0:OSDSYS but it doesnt matter if OSDMenu is signed or not and as an update path... You can if you want and embed your config file for fastest boot, however it has no hotkeys. Yes HOSDMenu looks for the needed files on hdd, and you can use OSDMenu mbr for autoboot...

    I have not.... I would be tempted to say that the 2 fpga thing is....either for better sales alone and 1 is a dummy... Still usually these things are a bad DMS3/4 clone

    Well...its unlimited memcards, bootcard, downloadable exploit vs signing (you already have modchip that supports 3 auto paths, plus some hotkeys), and can host isos and some homebrew from mmce side (what you would see on the sd card...) But ya..redoing setup takes so little time.... I do it...
