I'm (probably blindly) assuming the CPU speed might be as simple as setting a few hex values, akin to the volt mod in the SYSCON (like how I undervolted my backwards compatible C03 and a G04). It's just probably no one has found the addresses yet - the voltage ones are already known (0x3110/3111...

C models have 02, 08 and 09 starting serials. I was told 09 was used for official Frankies however someone else reported an C model with 08 in its serial that was also frankied by Sony. Oh Sony, you inconsistent klutz.

Tried the undervolting process on a spare CECHG04 I had. Results: RSX went down to 0.96V where it's happily runnin' (90nm too. Original voltage 1.20v) CPU went down to 1.00V. Temperature drop: Before: 72/68 on idle Now: 65/62 on idle. Couldn't test a game yet since I finished it way too late...

Honestly, I have a Modbo 5 (in a SCPH-77004) and a DMS4 Pro (an genuine DMS4 at that, SCPH-39004 w/ Bitfunx SATA modified Network Adapter.) I much prefer DMS4 Pro... the only thing Modbo5 has above any of its older siblings (4, 760, 750, etc.) is USB boot, but that's it.

Probably not much of a mod and it's probably been discovered already... but you can replace the ps1_rom.bin with any complete PS1 BIOS it seems. Tried this on my CECHC03 with a SCPH-101 BIOS and it works.
