That means all the games that are there on my PS3 will not work after I update CFW to 4.88.2 and i' ll have to download fresh game back ups to play ??

I have a slim PS3 running CFW 3.55 kmeaw. I wish to know if I can safely update it with EvilNat 4.88.2 straight away. If anyone can help with me with step by step instructions, I'll be really grateful. Thanks
