PS2 PS2 Network Adapter- IDE, SATA or Clone, how you connect your hdd?

So finally I got my bitfunx v2.0 board directly from the original shop. Assembly was easy and quick if not to take into account that NA needs torx 6 or 7 size screwdriver and two sizes of star-head ones. I connected to it different HDDs--starting from 2TB and lower, all 2.5 in size. Regular...

So looks like Sata -Firewire/i.Link enclosures with SATA Chipset based on Oxford 934 are compatible and based on Oxford 911 for example isn't compatible. Plus for some strange reason usb port on enclosure does not help for compatibility to be good.. Maybe because not direct sata to FireWire link?

Well I have 3077Megabyte IDE HDD but if to format and partition it properly--should be enough. 128 MB for swap partition and the rest for EXT2 partition. In parted you choose where partition starts and where it ends. So it starts from 129thMegabyte since Swap ended on 128th and 100% means to the...

Hey SaultedHashflip So you used your adapter for two years often and it still works? Did you use isolation tape in order to make sure that it does not short-curcuit since it could touch metal part? Was it not bitfunx adapter?

Hello Everyone. As ususally when we connected ps2 to Network adapter in the past, choice was easy--IDE- hdd drive. Recently choice became much more confusing since there are more options now but which one is the correct one? So right now you can connect: 1. PS2 and official NA to ide hdd...

PS2 NTFS as Default File system in OPL. Who can make it happen?

Tried to play a little bit with setting up SMB share and results are very interesting. Since OPL supports SMBv1 only and in Ubuntu 18.4 smbv1 was restricted, looks like Ubuntu 16.04.7 (Xenial Xerus) and Ubuntu 14.04.6 LTS (Trusty Tahr) are the most easiest methods to do it. All you need to do...

PS2 [Open PS2 Loader] Requests, suggestions, ideas

Would be nice if "FireWire/i.Link Driver" from SP193 in PS2ESDL would be added to Official OPL Builds in order people could have more possibilities to load their games by the means they like. Lets say SMB or usb just do not work for you, or difficult to set up smb share, but you have i.Link...

PS2 NTFS as Default File system in OPL. Who can make it happen?

Hey Berion its probably because how sony designed ps2? Like why in a world sony would add not usb 2.0 but 1.1? They either wanted to save cost of building system or they just been ok with 1.1? I know that sony started design ps2 probably in 1998 or 97 and most likely usb 2.0 didi not exist yet...
