done it a few times /w rebuild database and it takes like 20 sec for me. The first time i did the system became really smooth really smooth for a day but then the freeze came back. Should i change the hdd?

Title. I just got a used slim and it freezes every 3 seconds (audio too), especially at game cutscenes and multiman xmb when choosing a game. I'm on latest rebug cfw. Before cfw it was ok but i didn't have any games installed. My harddisk is not full or close to being full any suggestions?
