Yes. As long as your Console is a CFW compatible model (minver of 3.56 or lower) , and you have patched 4.82 with PS3xploit 2.0 then you are good to go.Hi, can I go directly from OFW 4.82 (Xploit 4.82 CEX) to CFW 4.84.3 Starbuged?
Once you patch your flash on 4.82 with the link I posted, then you can install 4.82 CFW. From there you can go to 4.84 CFW.Yes, my ps3 is compatible with CFW. So, from OFW 4.82, can you install any CFW 4.8X up and down? And to part, you recommend that I stay in OFW 4.82 or update to OFW 4.84? Thank you
I have 2 ps3 slim compatible with CFW. The first one, I went from OFW 4.82 to CFW 4.82.2 ReBug and all the flash dumps always with 0 errors. The second I went from OFW 4.82 to CFW 4.84.3 Starbuged and all the dumps with 0 errors minus the last one (although apparently everything worked)

; I decided for the flash dump to be 0 errors go from CFW 4.84.3 Starbuged to CFW 4.84.1 ReBug REX and the flash dump has been worse, 2 errors (although apparently it works).
The same error above plus the ROS0 (I did not keep that dump)
I'm going to put OFW 4.82 and format HDD on PC and start from scratch again. I want 0 errors in all my flash dumps. Any suggestions or help?
Is it necessary to activate the system in OFW? Or can it be activated later in CFW? Thank you again

@Joonie told you not to worry about it.
that's where i found ithttps://github.com/littlebalup/PyPS3tools/blob/master/PyPS3checker/hashlist.xml
You can manually check the hash on this list, the guy's program's outdated and can't validate the hash
Each firmware lists their feature list on the release pages. What CFW do you have? What is the difference between CFW 4.84.1 ReBug REX and CFW 4.84.3 Starbuged?
