PS5 Anyway to check if the PS5 banned without updating

As the topic title says.

I want to know if you can check if a PS5 is banned on an older firmware version.

Asking this as I got a probably banned PS5 but can't be 100 percent sure as it wants me to update before I can connect to PSN.
