The title asks it all. Which one is better for game preservation? A 6nm chip fat PS5 or the new slim version?
I have a launch fat PS5 already but I want to buy a second PS5 to preserve games and to put away for when (or if....I have faith it will happen) a custom firmware is figured out. I also have doubt that my original PS5 will last because even though I take care of it, I have to imagine the heat on it will kill it ala the original fat PS3.
I love having my recently converted custom firmware PS3 Slim working beautifully and I want to have a PS5 15-20 years from now working whether a custom firmware happens or not. Would love to have my kids (who would be either teens or adults by then) to have access to original hardware and the gaming experience on them. I can already do this for my PS3 and I'd like to be able to do this for the PS5.
So which one should I buy?
