PS News Call of Duty ZEUS Mod v2 Preview

Hey guys, I have been hard at work on my universal blackops mod, and I thought some of you might like an update. I have added OFW HUD support, re-organized the menu's, started writing a guide for the mod, added a teleportation menu, and many other things as well. I'll post here a preview of one of the pages for my guide, which will be perfectly sized to fit in any game case. Atm I am working on completing the teleportation menu and the guide, and working out an OFW kink. Beyond that the mod is almost ready for a release, but who can say how long those final two most difficult of tasks will take. My mods are 100% free :) and you can find the current release at se7ensins. This mod is built entirely with cfg files, it's a simple matter to use on PC or any console that can launch cfg files, just change the paths with the Notepad++ mass edit tool ;) I'll build a reliable launcher for other systems after I finish developing the mod. I don't own a PS4 or any kind of XBOX, so Ill need volunteers before I can work on that however. Here is a rough draft for a single map in my guide, though it supports all maps including DLC.

Nah it works fine on CEX DEX and HEN, though I can''t actually test it on HEN near as I can tell the CEX launcher should run on HEN. I wish I had a HEN tester. In any case, I'm done this version. I recently set up a github repository for the library files, they are already online and tomorrow I will begin filming the installation video. I recently finished the release video as well, which features a montage of every menu in just 7:25. I have learned a lot about copyright and the system for copyright in my country in the process. Have you ever read the GNU Public License? It's pretty dry. I went with the Aladdin Free Public License v9 for my project and used GNU v3 for the library and the templates I made for user addon/plugin menus. Please read the LICENSE files for more information. I also had to register for a deposit account, print and fax some forms, and all sorts of other bla, but I should be ready to release any day now FINALLY. You can consider this mod a sort of mod hub, you could even use it to launch other mods, anything that worked offline with redeyeX32 can be launched online via this menu without ever having to copy a save file ever again. I have some fun new menu options too. Ever seen a fully-automatic ZEUS Cannon? Well just you wait lol all wonder weapons have a full auto mode now. I don't want to spoil too much but it's looking fine

In the menu I have now if you use the triple tap mod with unlimited ammo and also turn on the modded perks it will make the Zeus cannon semi auto, but it does shoot as fast as you can press R1. Your way would be much simpler. What is the link for your github??

My github name is imkira3 but the library files won't help you any without the CORE, I'm planning on releasing it this Monday if all goes well. I'm currently working on the installation video, I'm doing the release and install videos separately. YouTube suggests shorter videos get better reception. I just pushed my final update to the library files, all has been finished for a while now but I had to add a copyright boilerplate to every file. Nobody likes those but they are necessary, and I kept it to 3 lines. However, the library being released means all the templates I made for custom user menus are released as well, if you have any experience modding CFG all you have to do is change unbind to bind in appropriate spots and add your command, plus edit the MENUTEXT and MENUTITLE areas as marked. For those of you who are confused about what I just said, I will be releasing another video explaining how to take full advantage of my plugin menu templates to create your own customizable menus. So if you don't like the options my menu offers you can easily add some or plugin another CFG menu someone else made. I'm gonna need to figure out a good spot where people can upload those, but they won't run without the CORE either. The CORE is the core program, the library files are just extras and not necessary, I will explain better in the installation video. Watch for it on my YouTube @ imkira3

EDIT: Perhaps this description I made for my github will better explain the purpose of the library files:

Zombies External Universal Settings Version ZPS3v01 is a system library for Zombies External Universal Settings Mod Centre for Operations and Resource Execution Version ZPS3v01. This library is not a necessary part of Zombies External Universal Settings Mod Centre for Operations and Resource Execution Version ZPS3v01, however if the appropriate version is installed to your ZEUS folder this library can be used to configure the program in various ways and contains template files for various users to create their own plugin menus. Please note this library and Zombies External Universal Settings Mod Centre for Operations and Resource Execution Version ZPS3v01 are not using the same license. For more information, please view the appropriate Zombies External Universal Settings Configuration video as per your version on my YouTube channel: imkira3 at YouTube.com

Not quite, did you look at the templates? Here is an example:

opentoastpopup clear_alpha "^1MENUTITLE " (dvarstring(Custom)) 99999"

There is no dpad_up, dpad_down or button_x, this type of menu is a manipulation of the scoreboard so those buttons are unavailable when the menu is open, if you want to bind to those buttons outside the menu you would have to do something like: set WU "toggle jump_height 0 999"

The menu rebinds everything when you close the menu, but I did include ways to bind options to buttons outside the menu as well through the use of custom variables if that's what you were going for. Why did you activate binds through a bind in any case? It would be better if you assigned each individual option to it's own button, or if you want to do multiple options with one button then maybe you should drop the binds and just include the commands, like so: bind button_rstick "toggle jump_height 0 999;give thundergun_upgraded_zm;dropweapon;noclip;give ammo" However with these options I would recommend using separate binds as per the layout in the templates, like so:

If you have any more questions about binds that last once you close your menu, just ask. It will all be in the instructional video. Don't bother adding any give commands to your menu, this menu can summon any gun, knife, grenade, lethal or equipment available on a given map, and your summon command could lead to a weapon index error if you use it on the wrong map.

what im trying to do is put 4 commands on a cfg file. so leftstick and up on dpad should turn on high jump right? then just press left to drop weapon...etc

with this code everything works but the jump
bind BUTTON_LSTICK "bind DPAD_UP jump_height 999;bind DPAD_DOWN give thundergun_upgraded_zm;bind DPAD_LEFT dropweapon;bind DPAD_RIGHT noclip;give ammo"

or should it look like this

bind BUTTON_LSTICK "bind DPAD_UP toggle jump_height 0 999;bind DPAD_DOWN give thundergun_upgraded_zm;bind DPAD_LEFT dropweapon;bind DPAD_RIGHT noclip;give ammo"

or

Well yeah, you can't modify jump height with a CFG style mod, you would have to get into patch modding or some other higher access type of modding. There are limits with CFG files but they are entirely cross-compatible, what you are talking about requires an external and console-specific plugin. CFG files are easy for anyone to edit, and easy to convert to other consoles so the CORE will always be mainly CFG, you can expect higher-level mods like force host and jump height eventually but not from the CFG files themselves. My goal was to make my menu as easy to edit as possible and I succeeded but don't expect every command to work via CFG.

The other reason is because EBOOT, SPRX and RTM style mods can steal your CID and get you banned, this type of mod cannot.

so the command bind DPAD_UP jump_height 999 is correct but cant be added as a bind in a cfg file to be loaded within a mod loader?

Pretty much yeah. It was one of the commands they patched, like granting juggernog. It might work with the old patch, but that has it's own issues.
