Can I run ISO files right off an external HD?

Just installed PS3HEN and MultiMan

Everything is good there.


I have a WD Black gaming self power HD I would like to use for all ISO games. Can I keep it NTFS? How do I set this up so MultiMan recognizes it?

Read other threads about ntfs with ps3 iso.
You must use prepNTFS, and i suggest you to use webman instead of multiman for mounting games. You can run ps3 and ps1 iso from ntfs usb hdd, but not ps3 games in folder format. Also ps2 classic, made to be used with ps2 classic launcher, must be in the internal hdd.

Ntfs hdd must be mbr and not gpt, thats important to know

i have a ps3 super slim
4.90 with 3.2.2 hen
webman & prepNTFS

can i run .iso ps1 files from external HDD?
 
Well first off never been a fan of multiMAN with NTFS. IRISMAN & ManaGunz work much better though not quite as nice GUI. Function over form for me. Also via USB the drive can't be over 2TB.

When I do the setup, adjust my fan, do the reboot, the "Webman" folder does not show my external HD yet and
Also after rebooting, the Webman pkg is still there and only option is to setup again, the WebMan folder is gone

A few times after reboot when I try to re install WebMan, I get "error 80010017"

I have PrepISO pkg also, have not got that far yet though due to WebMan issue
