PS News Could Capcom be about to do a Resident Evil 3 Re-Master or is it already in development??

RESIDENT EVIL 3 RE-MASTER ???
Several months ago the Games Developer and Publisher Capcom revealed its intentions to remake more of its previous games titles for the more contemporary games audience after there release of the new multi platform Resident Evil 2 remaster. Now it looks as though the 3rd game title in the long running Horror-Survival series could be getting its own remaster sometime in the future to... or already in development??​

According to Resident Evil 2 Game Director Kazunori Kadoi and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, " Capcom would be leaving the door open for a Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remaster after RE2 officially hits the shelves." At the time they stated that " We are currently focused on the development of RE:2 remaster, and getting it out to the people to see how they react to this".​

If anything by my reaction to this epic remake of RE2 was all good, I positively " crapped myself and ran like hell " at certain point's of the game, especially when the Licker crashed through the mirrored glass in the Police Station and ran to the nearest save room to get my shotgun out the item box, and it's been a long time since a horror game gave me that reaction, the last one be Silent Hill which was positively " Freaky " as things jumped out of nowhere at you. But the general opinion's of the fans has been good thus far.

While this doesn't necessarily mean a remake is on the table, it show's they are being open minded about future releases and a remake of the 3rd game in the series RE3: Nemesis which was originally released for the PlayStation in 1999.​

There are already rumors spreading like wildfire that this epic games remake is already in development, with many things be leaked already. But the validity of these is still open for interpretation as RE2 Re-master has only just been released. We can only hope these leaks and rumors are true.....

We will have to wait and see if an official press release announcing a remake of the iconic game, but if what we have seen so far is an indicator then I say the chances of this are good for RE fans to get to relive this epic blood chilling game..... and the opportunity to run like hell from nemesis when he crashes through the wall of the Police Station.... and continuously plague's you near the very start of the game... you my have started the game with an assault rifle but it did nothing for against this Umbrella BOW..... RUN!!!!​

For sure it's under development, the next resident evil game is going to be resident evil 3 nemesis remake that's for sure.

I dont mind remakes, as long its a well made one, its good for veteran players and newcomers alike! But lets not forget how Capcom milked the Resident Evil Franchise with tons of remasters, from the original PlayStation2 ones to the PlayStation3 and PlayStation4, charging a ridiculous amount for a game that already bought in the 1st place.

Yes I know what you mean they charged to much for RE4 and all it was the game in HD and ported to PS3 for download on PSN as a Digital game, and it wasn't a remaster... rip of.

But you know if they completely re-make the game you know they are going to charge top price for it as the die-hard hardcore fans have either pre-ordered them to get a little bit of a discount and some exclusive stuff or they will cue outside shops on release day and pay the top price for it. Why when you can wait a few weeks to see if the game price drops or go buy a more or less brand new second hand copy that some has lashed through in a few days and then sold it. ( I personally think these people are the ones that pirates, coping the game then waiting a few days to sell it ) or coping it then goign back to the shop they got it from and saying its faulty to get a full refund, basically they get the game for free.

This is another reason why games are getting really high in price, the amount of time dev company's and S@ny spend on anti-piracy measures. And these are the people that give the PlayStation CFW & homebrew scene a bad rep with the dev companies.

I like your enthusiasm about it, but its just rumour at the minute but I must say that I agree, it might not have stared yet, or it might have, but the demand for it from the fans is enough for them to justify spending the money to develop it. One thing I didn't put in the post is that there is also talk about RE8, bu the RE3 remake is meant to come first. Anyways an official announcement of the games development may or may not come. If and when it does I would think it would come at the end of Feb - May, sometime in between then to get the rumours fly and get the hardcore fans hyped up.
