Dangers/Warnings with PyPS3checker

Hello,

I've recently picked up a CECHA01 playstation 3 and have attempted to install custom firmware by following a MrMario youtube video.

The PS3 was running 1.0 when I received it, so following the guide I updated to 4.88.

I next ran PyPS3Checker and received 4 dangers and 2 warning. After that, I downloaded the 4.88 update directly from sony's website and re-installed it on my console via usb using recovery mode.

After dumping my memory again, I get the exact same dangers and warnings. I will paste the checklog below.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

If the console was originally on firmware 1.0 (ultra rare nowadays) & your objective was to install a CFW, you should not have rushed, you followed steps in a video made for users which console is on 4.8x OFW when yours was on 1.0 OFW. Until 3.55 OFW, any valid CFW PUP can be installed directly without using any additional trick or hack.

I guess the dangers & warnings are there because you didn't install ofw/hfw 4.88 twice before patching, therefore the checker finds discrepancies between the ROS0 4.88 CoreOS & some 1.0 data left in Flash memory, I don't think it's a problem.

But you should wait for @littlebalup to confirm that all is OK.
He may also be interested by this user case to tweak his pyps3checker code.
 
Thank you much for the response. I also posted this to LittleBalup's Github page before realizing he'd be the one to respond to me here, so if he responds on one platform I will make sure to paste his response to the other in case other people run into the same errors.

I've since installed OFW 4.88 a second time and am now getting only 1 warning so I am thinking you are likely correct bguerville.

yep, ultra rare to find a PS3 with 1.00. And that explains the trvk_prg0 hash warning. I never found that hash yet because never seen a PS3 1.00 update strait to 4.xx. To update my tool I'll need your dump if you agree to send it to me (in private).
For the cvtrm it's more strange but you said you fixed the "issue" by installing the ofw a second time right?
 
I have sent you the dump file as a pm, and yes I am no longer getting the initial errors after doing a second OFW install.

At this point I have just "008.02 trvk_prg0 Hash : WARNING!" remaining. Am I able to proceed as is, or do I need to wait for you to update your tool before doing so?
 
You can go ahead. I checked your dump and it's fine. My tool is update too.

P.S.: are you sure your console was OFW 1.00 before you updated it? It seems the trvk_prg1 is populated with the RL_FOR_PROGRAM.img from the OFW 1.10 pup.
 
I am not 100% confident one way or another, I didn't spend much time on that screen and I could very well be misremembering.

I got 3 warnings and one danger and iam on pc i cant copy it on here i took an picture of it and send it to littlebalups email idk what to do now
 
Wait for his response. You can ping him in the thread by using @littlebalup . Next time he signs in he will get an alert for this thread. Typically he will ask for your dump and then will let you know if it's OK to proceed. Not waiting may end in a brick

How get rid of this warnings or is it safe to CFW now and how?
I think you are getting those warnings because you are using an older version of pyps3checker that doesn't have the 4.88 reference hashes to identify the 4.88 CoreOS in ROS0 & ROS1.
The following line will be missing in the hashlist.xml file you are currently using:

Get the latest files from the official github.com/littlebalup/PyPS3tools repository & try again, I think your dump should validate without any warning/error.
