[Guide] Install HFW 4.85.1 on OFW 4.85 and install HEN

First of all a huge thank you to all ps3xploit team members and developers

Updating to hfw 4.85.1 from 4.84.2 hfw seems to be possible but is not covered in this guide.

This is how to install hfw 4.85.1 on ofw 4.85 and install hen

step 1:
Update PS3 to OFW 4.85
Go to system settings>system update
Select update via internet
(make sure you are updating to 4.85 as any further updates are not yet supported)

step 2:
Format your USB flash drive to fat32
Download hfw 4.85.1 https://mega.nz/#!SAYhnYYB!6CmxOz0H_pSuVRb4YZ7-lYvY66hP0LlohgVMWfFut4Q
Extract HFW_4.85.1_08_28_2019 .zip
rename "HFW_4.85.1_PS3UPDAT" to "PS3UPDAT" (no quotes)
on your fat32 usb flash drive create a new folder called "PS3"
open "PS3" folder and create a new folder called "UPDATE"
move your PS3UPDAT to your "UPDATE" folder

step 3:
plug in your PS3 console and hold down the power button until your PS3 turns off then let go of the power button
then hold the power button again until you hear 2 quick beeps next to each other , let go of power button
you are now in recovery mode
plug your usb cable in to your ps3 controller
navigate to "system update" press x
make sure your usb flash drive is connected to the furthest right usb port
press start and select together at the same time
follow on screen instructions to install hfw 4.85.1

step 4:
in xmb menu navigate to and select "internet browser"
press triangle , choose search
enter "http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)/"
go to top left corner and select "PS3HEN" then select "Hen Installer" (either one)
wait for initialization to reach 100% and show instructions
press circle to exit browser
go up and select "Remote Play"
Click circle
go up and choose "install HEN"
wait until installed
Turn off your PS3 console (important)
Turn your PS3 back on and you should see PS3 HEN icon in game xmb menu

step 5(optional):
Download ManaGunZ 1.37 https://github.com/Zarh/ManaGunZ/releases/download/1.37/ManaGunZ_v1.37.pkg
move ManaGunZ_v1.37.pkg to your fat32 usb drive
in xmb go to package manager
go to standard
install ManaGunZ_v1.37.pkg
(ManaGunZ is easily the best homebrew app and better than multiman :P)


NOTE:
DO NOT rename "HFW_4.85.1_PS3UPDAT" to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" as the extension is already ".pup" and not needed (at least not in my case)
rename to "PS3UPDAT"

Sorry for the sloppiness of my guide i am just trying to help people
also apologies for any inconsistencies or mistakes (i don't think i made any mistakes though)

First of all you can completly skip step 1 and just install hfw. Diference between hfw an ofw is only in one file.

if you have 4.85 ofw just download the hfw file from ps3xploit and rename it but seriously everything is already covered by mr mario so just watch and follow.
 
now everyone should be update to hfw 4.85.1
don't stay anymore on hfw 4.84.2 & lower
Both HAN & HEN Toolbox work on hfw 4.85.1 without any problem like hfw 4.84.2
So guys,now everyone should be update to hfw 4.85.1

why should people update just for the sake of it?
if things work fine on 4.84.2 great ,if not then update.
 
Ok so I am in the process of upgrading the hard drive in my modded PS3, i don't know the exact model but it can support real CFW (as it did have REBUG 4.82.1 on it until I just upgraded to 4.84.2 but now realize I need 4.85 to sync my trophy info) so I want to upgrade to 4.85.1 HFW, sync my trophies and then downgrade to 4.84.2 again mainly because I prefer not to use PS3HEN or whatever it is called. It it stated that the 4.85.1 firmware makes it easy to downgrade to any previous CFW/OFW but I have not seen a single guide on how you would do that, any ideas?

Please help me, I installed ofw first and hfw just like you written. When I want to install 'HEN' it says "HFW is required to do the process, the system can't distinguish between the two hfw and ofw." But I went ahead and installed 'HEN' and Managuz and also copied a game FIFA 19.But could not play just a blank screen and freezed. I also tried full format the Ps3 so that I skip step 1 but it couldn't help because the firmwares didn't go away they were still installed.
