I have not seen anything about this on here, So I'm sorry if its been mentioned already but this looks legit.

Sony filed these patents and it seems like it refers to a PS Move 2.0 controller: https://ipforce.jp/patent-jp-A-2018-735

Here is a cool concept video and some concept images based on the patents. I know it does not mean it will be the final design or even released but they look kinda cool all the same. :)

Wohooo, that looks supercool (and legit)
The images with the gears belongs to what they announced as "adaptative triggers"... is pretty much like the "force feedback" we already know
The trigger can move by itself, also it can present some resistance when you try to push it
It also have a mechanism to "release" it, incase you hit the trigger violently (or someone presses it as a maniac with all his strenght) it should disconnect from the gears to prevent breaking the internals

*And that gears are made of metal btw, note in one of the images it can be seen it have long metal bars with 10 "retention clips" at the tip of the bars... that retention clips are the kind used in metal, something like that made of plastic should break pretty fast

Hmm, or maybe is the "haptic feedback" they was talking about ?... this is a technology intended to replace the "rumble motors"
Maybe the handle of the controller is made of soft rubber, and all that pieces with the gears are spreaded around the handle and when they moves you can feel them

Anyway, that design is like a "electromechanical conversor", because it have a motor connected to the gears (marked as D13 in this photo)
