PS3HEN: If there a chance of getting banned from PSN even if HEN isn’t enabled while online?

I'm curious; I know that going online while HEN is active is extremely risky, but what about when it's off? Is that still dangerous? If I ran stuff like homebrew apps and backups in the past on the same user profile that contains my PSN account, should I find a way to clear any system logs that might exist before signing in to PSN?

Update to the new 4.85 OFW & then go online safely.

Thank me later !
That is not what he asked.

Its not extremely risky, afaik no one has been banned on HEN yet, at least not people who post here. Maybe cheaters have been banned but that is not HENs fault.

Anyway you should use psnpatch, it wipes your history, this is important as your history is still there even when HEN is disabled. To be honest the risks when HEN is enabled and not enabled are pretty much the same.

Without HEN enabled you still have a modded system, you still have DEX modules running, and you still have homebrew installed.

So psnpatch (might) work? I'll probably give that a shot at some point and try going (and playing) online on a dummy account for a bit, see how that works.

Assuming that you're running CFW2OFW converted backups, you're good to go without risking of being banned, but just watch out for some titles like Call Of Duty.

If you want to log online clean while HEN is not enabled, do this. First boot ps3, then enable HEN, clear history using either webman or psnpatch (r2 + triangle if you have the plugin). Then reboot ps3 and dont touch any homebrew or enable hen. Your history will be cleared along with disabled hen. However if you do decide to enable HEN again, you will need to clear history if you do want to go HEN-less.

Something to consider at least...

Has Sony put any detection in for PSN for PS3HEN, when they have not even attempted to patch the exploit out in a firmware update for how long now? Seems like if you add new detection to the network you would also applied a patch in a firmware update. But also may consider they did not need new detection for PSN. Hard to say at this point what they are and are not doing. The lack of effort on their side has been a bit surprising to say the least. I like current exploit windows but that is what they need to be is windows, not blown out walls IMO (at least not while there is active services.). )
