PS3 Request to fully support PS4 controller

Hi. Sorry if this has been asked before.
As PS3 getting obsolete, it's impossible to find genuine DS3 controllers anymore. Unofficial ones always feel cheaper and inferior to genuine Sony controllers in every aspect.

So please, how hard it is to add unofficial support for PS4 controllers with CFW/HEN? I mean full support : rumble, PS button, Sixaxis ...etc

For instance: this has been already done for the WiiU. Thanks to homebrew 'Bloopair', now the WiiU fully supports PS4 controller and it's paired 100% as a WiiU Pro controller.

P.S if you still have a working PS3 controller please take good care of it!

In English via G-Trad :

I can offer you the "WINGMAN Converter XE2 (Brook)" adapter. I have two of them, and they work equally well on a PS3 (with a DS4 controller) and on a PS4 (with a PS3 controller).
Furthermore, I use this adapter very often with my PS4 because DS3 controllers have a longer battery life (before it's depleted) than DS4 controllers, but the vibration sometimes stops unexpectedly. The "SELECT" and "START" buttons become "SHARE" and "OPTIONS," respectively.
I don't have anything better to suggest.

Thank you Algol, that's indeed an effective solution. I'll consider it, hopefully someone will implement a software driver equivalent to the hardware adapter!

Ok I am convinced to buy the XE2 adapter as advised by Algol, and use my DS5 controller, since I've read it actually reduces the original PS3 BT latency and gives even better results than the original controller.

If so, the adapter is totally worth it.
I'll try and see.

This can not be done. otherwise it would be done long ago.
I wouldnt say it can't be done, rather than it hasn't been done yet.

EDIT: interestingly, i started to look into this a bit and found out you can just straight plug a ps4 or ps5 controller into ps3 and it works as far as the buttons, except ps button. Didnt actually know that was a thing. Adding the other features is the thing, but if you didnt know that worked, now you do lol

Yes that how they work wired. not functioning ps button and "dualshock". ps3 handles them as "not oem controller".

Yes. Tried that. Thanks.
Also D-Pad diagonals don't work.. meaning when you play Street Fighter for instance it's impossible to jump backward or forward.
Also PS2 games don't work, and some games like Gran Turismo 6 don't work.

A lot of weird things.

Sixaxis dosent work either, so games like uncharted and KZ2 are unplayable

I've read it actually reduces the original PS3 BT latency and gives even better results than the original controller.
Do you have any test results that proofs that?
As far as I know:
Dualshock 3 bluetooth latency is 10-14ms
Dualshock 4 bluetooth latency is 4-6ms + bluetooth stack latency 2-4ms + Wingman XE 2 processing latency 3.2-4.5ms + controller emulation in PS3 port latency 1-8ms = 10-22ms
