PS5 The problem with single save deletion.

For starters, I am not referring to the ability to delete a singular save from a PS4 console that does not seem to have been carried over the PS5 in retrospect.

I could not find a thread in the place regarding this so I guess I will make one.

I have already looked at multiple threads regarding this... the problem is that the answer always seems to be the same and it is not the answer that pleases users who are basically being told that they have to delete the entire save-cache and get rid of all saves for that particular game instead of being able to rid themselves of one individual save-state that they find unnecessary.

Here are some threads from other sites regarding this problem:

The 2nd link really shows how people are mixing PS4's abilities with that of PS5.

3rd link doesn't sound like grand solution either as it just refers you to overwriting saves... So here is an image breakdown of the direct issue that I am talking about.

PIC1 - I want to delete the save that is highlighted by my DualSense controller. Yes, I realize that some games allow you to delete saves from the in-game menus when you are playing such as Fallout or Skyrim but Ghost of Tsushima is not one of those games that allows you to do that.

PIC2 - The issue here is the "choice" rather than choices of deletion that you have from:

Home > Settings > Storage > Console Storage > Saved Data > PS5 Games

or you could follow the same path but choose Saved Data & Game/App Settings.

It does not matter because the outcome is the same. When you are at this menu, it only allows you to delete the entire cluster of saved data belonging to a certain game. The save that I want to delete from PIC1 is only 6.30MB but in Console Storage settings it will only let me delete this 28.32MB file which would be all 3 saves of the same unchanging size as well as some Options data or perhaps saved data that is related to the Legends mode that is used for playing online with other gamers.

I accept this issue, though it is redunant af but S#NY has ignored it for a few years already.

Those limitations are made for purpose I believe. First because most of people don't care about saves and second, those who care can automatically backup them on their cloud. And on cloud only because it is another reason to force average player to buy this shit called PlayStation Plus (that's why You cannot export/import PS5 saves to/from USB). Dick move, like whole Sony today is.

Personally I don't see any reason to buy PS5. Not only there is only few exclusive titles but because I cannot backup MY data. Maybe many years after when will be hacked, it become usable console.
