PlayStation 5 Unboxing & Accessories!

by Marques Brownlee

Today, Sony has allowed media sites to start sharing unboxing PS5 videos, and there are already a lot to choose from. After taking a quick look at the selection available on YouTube (see: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ps5+unboxing), it looks like I found the best unboxing video currently out. In the 4K video above, you will see up close details of the PS5 and all the official launch accessories as well.

Looks ugly to me. Really. Like a play toy or... iron.

Joypad looks a lot better and more ergonomic. Also very nice that they adding power dock.

I am excited to try our the Dualsense with some games that really take advantage of all the features.

But yeah... I am having trouble getting over the way the console itself looks.

Looks like it works great on PC and Smart Phones, so hopefully it would only be a matter of time before we see it usable on other PS consoles/system.

Re-watching the video, I noticed the PS5 does NOT come with a charging cable for the 'DS5'. What the F is up with that?!?!

It's BADASS. That's the definition for me. 2007 vibes right now, and I hope I can getting one the next year. Hard situation over here, but this really looks good, not like that ugly PS4..

I'm seeing a wire on the top right corner at 2:32

EDIT, yeap, it looks like it does not come with a type C wire. Strange..

Just found this via CNET

Here's what's in the box (as pictured above):
  • PlayStation 5 console
  • DualSense wireless controller
  • HDMI cable
  • AC power cable
  • USB-A to USB-C cable
  • Console stand

So it looks like it does include a cable. I figured it would be a C2C cable, but at least we get the A2C.

Looks alright, maybe a little too large, but still manageable. My only concern is the glossy part in the middle, looks like a dust magnet and could generate lots of scratches.

I actually love the minimalist design of the headset plus I checked it out with my friend and they were great performance wise too.
