Developer @Rinnegatamante dropped by the forums here at psx-place.com to release a couple of new items for the homebrew community. First up we have an update to VitaQuakeIII with the release of version 1.0. This update has provided the port with Multitexturing support and Texture Combiner What this does, is improves performance on the PS Vita and provides support for features like dynamic light that previously has been disabled prior to this update (see video below for a showcase of examples). In regards to the recent advancements to VitaGL the developer states "Expect a branch of releases for idTech3 derivates plus maybe some new idTech 3 derivates ports in the future
" be sure to keep a look out in the future here in the psx-place forums and @ VitaDB for when those release appear directly from Rinnegatamante .
It appears we did not have to wait long with another new update (0.8) with the release of vitaVoyager - Port of Start Trek Voyager: Elite Force Holomatch providing some of the recent VitaGL advancements like in VitaQuakeIII such as providing multitexturing usage providing significant better performance and a fix to dynamic lighting amogst some other listed changes outlined in the changelogs.
