Alright sounds good. i have a bunch of other PS3s to fix so ill practice de-lidding on any of those that arent fixable. for the HDMI, just replacing the controller chip is usually the fix to do?

Tried one of the other slims. when power button pressed, it beeps and goes green for a second before going dark. press again - goes to standby, press again, turns on then off. Led code is ggrr, gggg, gggg, ggrr. weird that green seems to be good and red is bad for me

I was able to consistently get into LED diagnostic mode by (after doing fan test), pressing power button 3 times, eject 3 times, then power 3 times again. just dont press them too fast. My PS3 slim works, but still doesnt show all green on the led code. (with no dvd drive) gggr, gggg, gggg...
