Same here with a Samsung Evo 256Gb; most of the stuttering has now gone with BDM 4.6. Great work!
Compatibility issues still persist; I'll have to try these over USB to see if they work.
Cheers for the info! Still stutters for me (though the Jap version of Ridge Racer V doesn't crackle, but still has periodic "hitches" which freeze the whole game).
Funnily enough, I play PSX games off USB, decided to put Ridge Racer V on USB and that runs flawlessly through OPL. So it's probably...
Got around to formatting to exFAT with 16k clusters. Ridge Racer V still has stuttering audio (even ripped a new ISO) with BDM4 and a Samsung Evo Plus 256Gb SD Card.
Tekken 5 is also quite bad with audio. Guess it's a Namco thing?
Apologies! FAT32 @ 64k for BDM3, exFAT @ 32k for BDM4. Just read a suggestion to format in 16k which I'm doing now to test Ridge Racer V.
Also, ZSO works great with BDM4 (my partner tried CATZ and DOGZ with perfect success).
Finally, the one game I couldn't get working with BDM4 is Star Ocean...
Cheers for the reply! I formatted my Samsung Evo SD card in exFAT. Both BDM3 and BDM4 cause music to stutter in Ridge Racer V.
Some say BDM3 has smooth audio for Ridge Racer, but I've never had that.
No issues with the audio in other games though! Maybe I need to rip the ISO again.
The only issue I've had (with BDM3, BDM4 and latest) is Ridge Racer V, which stutters and hitches all the time (even on the menu screens).
It's the only game that's unplayable (along with Star Ocean 3, which crashes on load).
Just tried v1.2.0-Beta-1917-7d786b3 on my 79003 with my MX4SIO and it's a HUGE leap above BDM3!
The only inconsistencies I've noticed with the compatibility list is
- Ridge Racer V (USA) - playable with crackly music when in the menus and in game.
- Dance Dance Revolution Strike (JP) - Now...
