Yep this was the way, took me a little while to figure this out, thank you.
I also had to set np environment to "np" in the debug settings (this may be because I'm on DEX, not too sure).
Yeah I'm really happy with this version. I've installed Multiman and Webman, and connected through FilaZilla on my PC. It's coming back to me, haha.
Haven't tried to create or sign in to an account yet, but hopefully it works.
Thank you guys for all your help, I really appreciate it
@GuilloteTesla
Turns out my console is on DEX, no memory of switching it to that but atleast it's working now.
I used rebug 4.84.2. I'll update my post with exactly what I did for those that have the same issue
Thank you for the response!
I used this website for all versions except 4.87 and 4.91.
The USB I'm using is 8GB, but I have a 512 MB one that I'll try now

Hey guys, so I got the HDD this morning and not having any luck.
I've put the new HDD into the PS3, and tried reinstalling with 3.40 and 3.55 (Data is corrupted), 4.87 and 4.91(No applicable update data was found).
I've tried both slots for the USB...
@Charles_n_town @GuilloteTesla I've just found a cheap harddrive that says is PS3 compatible (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395617355984?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=7ca2lzhssw2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=eooyw6_zquo&var=664375524733&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY).
When it arrives...
This was actually the first version I tried as I remember that being the goto version, but I just get the "Data is corrupted" error.
Some responded on my post, and looks like it's an issue with my SSD unfortunately.
Were you able to resolve your issue?
I've just made a post on here with the exact same issue, my PS3 is different model though and the slim version.
Hopefully we can find a fix for this soon
Hey guys.
I found my old PS3 in storage a few days ago and wanted to set it up again. It didn't have the harddrive, so I searched my house and found one in the ps3 drive casing (Its an SSD samsung, so it's not the original drive and I have no idea if it was used on the PS3 or not).
Anyways...
