Exactly what the title says. I have a CECHC04 BC PS3 running Evilnat 4.90 CEX CFW and when I mount a PS2 game it sometimes just freezes the entire console. No errors in SYSCON or anything like that, mounting any other ISO seems to work fine, only PS2 seems to freeze my entire console randomly...
Quick question about the PS3 CPUs and the RSX, after a delid, do you guys recommend to glue/put the IHS back on? Or just raw dog it without an IHS on both chips? I have the IHS installed on both of the chips on mine with just thermal paste on it, although my temps are garbage. I don't know if...
I have the same EXACT problem. The only way to fix it is to replace your SSD with the hard drive that PS3 came with. In my case at least, even if I use a different hard drive instead of an SSD (from another fat PS3 btw) it still didn't work. It only works with the factory hard drive. I'm on a...
One thing I want to add, as a repair technician, do NOT buy reballed systems. They WILL fail. Reballing is a temporary workaround and is sold as a "fix". Your reballed system will work for a month or two MAX, if the chip has failed already and a reball has "fixed" it.
"Jailbreaking" does NOT equal piracy. You won't see any active CFW developer support it or endorse it. I think you're misunderstanding.
And yes, you are missing out. Not only on custom fan curves which will help your system stay cooler, but also prolong it's life. Although if you choose not to...
Try this with other Uncharted games, for example 3.
Does your system flash red during the triple beep? Does it freeze for a while beforehand?
Try a different copy of Uncharted 2, or try it on a different system. You said you owned a super slim, right? Try it on the super slim. See what happens.
I've had my CECHC04 so far for about a month or two and the thing works perfectly fine after a delid. Just set your fan profile to a good one in webMAN and you should be fine. The main cause of the RSX's dying in these consoles is the frequent applying and de-applying of heat which softens the...
So that bug has been there since 2015... Great. Given the only known fix as of right now is trial and error with different drives, I can't really be gambling my money on different drives :(
If you guys got any more ideas, please let me know, otherwise I'll just hope the cobra devs fix this...
Just wanna add to this btw, I have the SAME exact issue. Not only am I having the same issue, but I've noticed that it doesn't even matter if I put in a different HDD OR SSD into my PS3, the results are the same. ANY drive that's not the original 60GB HDD that came with the system will NOT work...
