So I sent it to NSC Modz in Germany who checked/polished the heatsink for unevenness and delidded both chips. The temperature difference seems to still be there after the console fully heats up but the fans are much more bearable (they stay locked at the minimum of 32% for non demanding games...

Hey all, I made an account here to hopefully get some assistance with my Slim 25xx PS3. I got it for pretty cheap with some damage to the plastic shell, replaced the shell, dedusted the fan etc and repasted with MX6 (made sure to put enough paste). Unfortunately while the CPU temps look fine...
