that's exactly how I'm thinking. The only thing is, I wonder if the track I have potentially damaged on the CPU is linked to the PS2 I/O and its simply not able to start?
In the meantime, I'm tempted to do a reflow on the PS2 chip(s) but any idea which ones?

I obtained a CECHA12 console which I have now JB'd with Rebug 4.82. I de-lidded it but in the process of doing that, I scratched a bit of the CPU. I also managed to take out a 17Ohm resistor (between the CPU and GPU), which I ended up soldering back on using small jump wires. The...
