PS3 Failed Frankenstein MOD on CECHC04

SB uart will show firmware of the console, IT could be too low, when everything is okay, so console would have glod. Which rsx did you put, 65 or 40 ?

    PS3 cechc03 frankenstein RSX 65nm

Hey, I had this problem last week. In my case, one resistor on the Rsx was loose. IT had to desolder when I was pulling Rsx from the board, so check resistors on the Rsx, if your resistor mod is ok

PS3 Failed Frankenstein MOD on CECHC04

Hello. I had that same problem last week. Console had firmware 4.41 but I had glod. When you are connected to SB Uart, try go to safe mode and look on the log. When you will shutdown console normalny, in log you should see "rsx driver couldn't be load" or something like that. Check carefully for...

PS3 Fault finding YLOD with the SYSCON - First steps and Error reporting

ERROR]: 0xb0002001 (FATAL) XDR Link not initilized. This error means that one of RAM couldn't start. It could be a faulty RAM, I had error 2002XDR link not initialized but I made a mistake with a cpu reball. If you didn't reflow this board I think IT will be dead ram.

PS3 Fault finding YLOD with the SYSCON - First steps and Error reporting

Try to unistall all homebrew apps and install again cfw. I have read that homebrew apps caused a soft conflict and PS3 had 1601 and 1701 error. That person WHO unistalled all homebrew apps wrote that this problem never come back so give it a try.

PS3 Fault finding YLOD with the SYSCON - First steps and Error reporting

This ones with NEC TOKIN near the RSX. There are 4 NEC's, two on bottom side, two on top side of the board. You can try change 1 NEC on bottom side of the board for 4 tantalum capacitors, and see if this problem will appear again.

PS3 Fault finding YLOD with the SYSCON - First steps and Error reporting

Hey ! I had error 3004 on COK-002, but I removed all the NEC's around RSX and didn't add the wire, when I added wire the error was gone. I have DIA-002 board with this error and also with all NEC's removed, replaced by tantalum capacitors but still got the error 3004. In next week I will test...

PS3 Fault finding YLOD with the SYSCON - First steps and Error reporting

Hey ! Check PS6001. In my case when i got this error on COK-002 it was bad PS6001. Reflowing a CPU didn't work on error 3032, so I have to search further ;) So, at this moment I have 2 consoles with GLOD: CECHG with error 3040 (starship2), and CECHC with south bridge glod (2203). Is there any...

PS3 Fault finding YLOD with the SYSCON - First steps and Error reporting

Hey ! If you have a 3034 error unfortunately it is a BGA issue. When I got a 3034 error I am doing RSX reballing and it's gone, but in that 4001 I don't know that is caused by RSX or CELL. I reballed a CECHG04 RSX with 3034 error, and now I have 3032 error. I am doing reflow of CELL right now...

PS3 Fault finding YLOD with the SYSCON - First steps and Error reporting

Honestly I am in camp 2 and 3 ;) I know repairing PS3 isn't very easy and PS3 have a lot of chips/condensators/fuses/etc. that can make an YLOD. But I am really enjoying repairing those great consoles. And I am honest with people, I write what I did, and show photos, because I want to be honest...
