I had done the DMS4 and Romeo mods on my PS2. If you're going to end up changing the chip - check if any of the wires go to somewhere you need first. If it's already connected just desolder from the chip instead of the board. Try PS2BBL since that seems far more compatible with mod chips.

Expected that they're old. Just thought the focus would be more on the current generation consoles. Had no idea you could still get chips for the PS2.
