hi. i have tested on my CECHA PS3, running OPL via PS2 HW mode. all i see at the most bottom on the windows cmd window is the CMD INFO. nothing more. but it works on real PS2? i have one and the cmd window shows changing block size, something like that and it works great but i prefer to play PS2...

can try replace 1 nec tokin with x5 tantalums per cell / rsx side, see if the problems go away. you can practice solder on dead ps3 mb or any spare mb but you can try anyway on the board itself since the tokin pads are pretty robust and hard to be lifted off (except syscon pads )

random shut off mid game is highly caused by nec tokin. try dump syscon error log using built in evilnat settings. 1001 towards cpu, 1002 towards rsx. mine Kxx console did have same problem as yours. after replacing one of the nec tokins on the rsx side, no more issue

I know beginning from 25xx series onwards, Sony did use full tantalums on the CELL/RSX. 3003 from the web indicates severe CELL power issue. You might want to try replace those caps with new ones. Before that, you can check for shorts on the tantalums first. My CECHA's blu ray drive circuit...

The spare network board you have is probably faulty. Try to check it with another CECHA/CECHE console first. If that works, then there is something wrong on the motherboard, check voltage first going from MB to the network board connector (can refer to CECHA service manual)
