    PS3 Game Patches

I've quoted my comments from the overclock thread and this one below which explain the adjustment. You'll need to access the game files to edit the autoexec.cfg, so you'll want to create a back up of your F.E.A.R. 2 game (preferably in JB Folder format for easy editing), I personally do this...

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

I've been a bit busy with life but have finally had the opportunity to continue testing, I've picked up another CECH-2502B console with a 1A date code and it has been my best performer to date. I've been able to push it as high as 950 / 1050 but sadly it's not stable at these speeds. 950 on...

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

I haven't had the opportunity to post over the past fortnight, but I've been doing some ongoing testing. I've picked up another CECH-2502B console with a 1A date code and appear to be stable at 900/1000. 950/1000 produces mild artifacts, and 900/1025 nearly bricked the console. I tested for 3...

    PS3 Game Patches

What ini settings did you try changing in Fallout New Vegas? There are some that don't work, like Resolution and FOV for example, but there are plenty that do. Quick example below with some visually obvious changes for demonstrative purposes. Default ini settings iMaxAnistropy = 8 and...

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

That's all good, I was just testing what ajthenoob requested. I've given this a shot too and the fps counter reports between 38.76 - 38.94 when running at 850/950!

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

Cheers, I'll give that game a try in the future! When you say "decrypt the col ini file and edit it and then ecrypt it again", are you referring to decrypting and then re-encrypting an ISO to make changes to an ini file contained within? or is this an additional step where the actual ini file...

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

    I've included the results for all 4 of my consoles below, hopefully these help! RSXNode (nm)DIEFABMFGDSVIDBinMODEL No.MB rev.lvl1 RSX StringDAYS CXD2991GGB65?1TOSHIBA20CECH-2002ADYN-001rsx65 a06 600/750 vpe:ff shd:6f [AP0016364:1:1:7:16:c:2:5:1][1c:0:2:0:1:2:0][2:1:0]103...

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

None taken, with the exception of my CECH2502B I've had pretty mediocre results across my consoles lol I agree, I think it just comes down to the silicon lottery. My CECH2512B can only do 700/900, so it performs on par with your CECH2004B despite having a 40nm RSX and being manufactured more...

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

My CECH2502B appears to have reached its limits at 850/950. I encountered no artifacts but had frequent crashing in games on 850/1000, whereas 900/750 had both artifacts and crashes in games. 850/950 seems to be holding solid and performs pretty nicely, would love to see what a CELL overclock...

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

Sorry but I didn't check when re-applying thermal paste, I'll look into it tomorrow after work if you're still keen to know! The CECH2102A ran fine overnight, seems to be stable at 700/900. I've been testing my CECH2502B with 1A date code after work today, currently at 850/850 and everything...

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

I've been working on my CECH2102A for the past five hours and it appears to be running fine at 700/900. 750/900 caused artifacts in some games, 700/950 didn't show any artifacts but was causing intermittent crashes. Seems to be performing on par with my CECH2512B so far. I've had it running...

PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

I've tested a couple of consoles so far, here are my results. My CECH2002A with a 9D date code can only do 600/750. 650/800 causes artifacts and crashes within 30 seconds on the XMB, had to re-install a firmware with base clocks through safe mode which also failed multiple times before being...
