Have you tried to clean the lens with a proper cleaner? Isopropyl alchool should be fine.

I'm almost sure that the values on the stock laser are the default. Not sure about the new laser. I marked the stock values with a marker but I lost the mark so after a year I do not remember. One of my ex collegues has an oscilloscope; what should we do to calibrate the laser potentiometers...

Hello, my PS3 is dead. I have a second PS3 with a custom FW on it. Can I dump the eid root key from the HDD of the dead PS3 by connecting the HDD via USB to the second PS3?

I have tested CD and DVD and also tried to adjust both potentiometers. My laser (the old and the new one) are sligtly different from the image; They don't have that antistatic jumper (also the orange wire is not here)
