As an open source alternative to FMCB as bootloader, this is good.
But this should be also improved for various reasons:
Not everyone is an advanced user. Some of us has kids who also uses the console. If they press a button on cold boot, they could launch an app like wLE or so. Also, having long wait times delays the time from us getting to an app. It will be good to have a feature which locks launching apps from keys unless certain criteria is met, like introducing a specific button combination or password, and instead just launches the auto application in 500 miliseconds or so.
And just tell your kids to wait untill opl ui pops in
