I have a jailbroken NTSC PS3 with mmCM running, we basically just use this for SingStar, all the various PS2 and PS3 versions. I can launch any PS3 version (either via mmCM ISO or actual disk) and swap disk within the game to most PS2 versions with no issues, except I have a few PAL PS2...
