Hello.
So i am 100% new at this and i had it in my mind to play games on my PS2 via SMB. Seemed like a good, simple plan. Get mini router, use USB drive (for now), plug Ethernet cable into my system and i am good to go. WOW. Technology!
I've heard of this other method called MX4ISO but i also...
I can open OPL and play game with flash drive but i cant play game on PS2 MX4SIO SIO2SD - bitfunx.

Hi, I have two games (Disgaea 1 and Rez), I first tried patching them and got the 'No UDF descriptor' error, I saw people talk about 'converting the cd image to dvd' but the links to instructions were dead or required me to buy windows only software (using Linux, dont want to purchase something...
The PlayStation 2 doesn't have an operating system, making it handle all the storage by each application separately! Programs can use the firmware's built-in modules, but these only exist for the internal hard drive. So depending on the program and device, different logical structures are...
I can't access my mx4sio card files so I can load opl automatically on startup using FMC configurator. The only way to access opl is via ulauncher-exfat. I was wondering if there's a way around this. I hope I was able to explain this properly
I've spent the last few days getting setup with FMCB and OPL using MX4SIO SD card reader. It works great with all the 32GB (Kingston) SD cards I've used but I can't seem to find an OPL version that works with both ExFat (rather than Fat32) and my 128GB SD cards. I've tried 3 different SD cards...
UPDATE: Bounty boosted to $200!
Before posting this I reached out to admins to try and work out conducting a bounty for this project but never received a response, so I have decided to post this publicly.
I'm offering a cash reward of $200 for the first person to implement MX4SIO support into...
Hey everyone! So I finally bought everything to play on my PS2, but I'm having some issues. The games seems to work fine the first time I try, but then when I restart my PS2, I have the "Error, this item couldn't be load" error.
Here is my setup

Hey everyone! Today I discovered a means to use almost any SD card with MX4SIO.
Prerequisites
::A Windows PC
::A compatible MX4SIO SD card
::HDD Raw Copy Tool ( https://hddguru.com/software/HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool/ )
::EaseUS Partition Master ( https://www.easeus.com/partition-manager/ ) (This is...
Same as the title of this thread. I can't seem to get PS2 bin/cue titles to be detected by MX4SIO. It will see ISO extensions, but CDGenPS2 doesn't seem to generate compatible ones.
Does anyone know of a fix for this?
Hey - I'm trying to solve a very specific problem in a very specific way. If it's already been solved, please tell me how!
It's the classic "Stuttering During Cutscenes" problem. All other games have been fine so far, but I just started "Kingdom Hearts", and it is NOT fine. Also, which other...

EDIT: As of 07/16/23 all of the changes have been merged upstream. It's advised to use the latest OPL beta going forward. For the time being there will be no more new BDM builds.
This is a dedicated thread for testing and debugging the latest MX4SIO drivers to avoid cluttering up the main...
Hi, so I softmodded my PS2 the other day and it's been working pretty well. But one problem though; I want to play Co-Op in Tales of the Abyss and it doesn't work.
I've tried several things, like unplugging and replugging the controller, enabling PADEMU and trying to use a PS4 controller...
i'm pretty new in this, and i've been wondering, which FreeMcBoot version would be the best with a MX4SIO?
On a side note, since i heard we can't save games with the v1.2.0 for now, i really hope they so fix this soon.

Hello guys.
First of all, I recognize that there is already hardware for PS1 with the aim of running games from the SD card, but it is expensive and high-end hardware that surpasses the average value of the console and that, honestly, is not worth it for people like me. I only play once a week...
I've got already MX4SIO, yet without the case, so still, it waiting for it's great moment. But meanwhile I read about it and peoples says that MX4SIO hang OSDSYS/HDD OSD.
I don't know if those freezing/crashing problems comes from fs parsing which failing of course as it is unknown to them, or...
