Hello. I am curious if the 1.00 FW Coldboot and Gameboot is possible to put onto a PS3 with HEN. My model is a Slim 3001B and I want to know if its possible or I am out of luck. If so, can anyone guide me on how its done? Please and thank you.

@LuanTeles has implemented something related to that so you might be in luck after all since they could technically put one in HEN FW like Evilnat did.

So this means that I shouldn't bother doing this in risk of bricking the system? I have the original files from 1.00 and I know which ones are used.

Doesn't matter if they are modified or not. GameOS is too "sensitive" with this stuff, specially on OFW+HEN.

Remember that the files from OFW v1.00 can be incompatible with other OFW versions, those files don't handle aesthetic things only.

Well it first needs to be tested for your request to be implemented to ensure it won't brick those with hardware flashers
Then perhaps it could be added in hen mainly the game boot xai_plugin
NAND, eMMC, and NOR needs to be tested thoroughly with compatibility of this.

Old firmware files are not compatible with newer firmwares, but we've recreated them and it requires a patched game_ext_plugin.sprx that can not be used directly on HEN.

You can use webMAN mod to do a remap or PS3 Pro mod that already has it.

webMAN mod does a remap the sprx or PS3 Pro mod.
I see, how would you acquire the patched sprx and how to remap it on webMAN?

Install this PKG if you're on HFW 4.89, 4.90 or 4.91:
https://github.com/aldostools/Resou...eboot_req_dev_blind_enabled_for_4.89-4.91.pkg
or this PKG if you're on HFW 4.84 to 4.88
https://github.com/aldostools/Resou...tall_multi_gameboot_req_dev_blind_enabled.pkg

NOTE: /dev_blind must be enabled to install the custom RCO needed for ROMS.

The PKG includes the patched plugin that is installed in /dev_hdd0/tmp/gameboot/game_ext_plugin.sprx

webMAN MOD remaps it automatically when it starts if it detects the file in that folder.

Okay sounds good. Though before I do this I have a few questions before I procced since I want to be extra sure I'm doing everything right.
1) Do I enabled dev_blind BEFORE I install the PKG?
2) If so, do I use dev_rewrite or dev_blind or it doesn't matter. HEN seems to enable it whenever I enable HEN.
3) Let's say if I need to rebuilt the database for any reason, will doing that brick my system or no?
4) If I ever want to revert, how would I do that?
Thank you

1. Yes
2. /dev_blind
3. No
4. Delete the folder /dev_hdd0/tmp/gameboot

If you only need game_ext_plugin.sprx you can extract it from the PKG and copy it manually to /dev_hdd0/tmp/gameboot/game_ext_plugin.sprx

Ok I see, so if I want to add the 1.00 coldboot and gameboot, I just drop them in the folderdirectory? Sorry for asking many questions. Just want to make sure im doing everything right. Mainly because I see a few files inside said directory.

Okay I installed the PKG, and the PS3 ended up shutting down. Now I'm worried that I messed something up. I can still boot to the PS3, but I can't boot any applications.
EDIT: Okay so it turns out it could've been the other files that was stored alongside the gameboot folder. I ended up deleting the folder via webmans file manager and the game's now boot with the PS Logo (thinking that's what the .sprx was responsible for)

I've told you to be careful. You've been really lucky.

Okay so I learned a few things. The PKG file sent and needed dev_blind enabled actually overwrote the custom_render_plugin.rco on my PS3 to have the custom icons. But when the game_ext_plugin.sprx was placed in the directory mentioned, it caused the instant shutdown upon booting. Of course i can simply delete the folder to fix the issue via webMAN. What I don't understand is how, despite the file not being remapped, it booted with the custom PS logo with the animation data. I ended up restoring the original .rco and it is now gone.
I ended up overwriting the .raf and .ac3 files from 1.00, but it's all now on the .sprx to get this working. I feel like I am missing something very crucial for webMAN to remap it properly. Is there a step I'm missing, or am just simply out of luck? (and no I did not overwrite the file either using dev_rewrite)
